On June 24th, a woman named Linda came up to me for prayer at church. She described pain she was having in one of her thumbs. Before praying for her, I thanked her.
Me:
I’m really glad you’re asking for prayer for this. So many people think that God either doesn’t care about the small things or that they don’t have a right to ask for something seemingly insignificant.
We declared healing in the name of Jesus over her thumb and dismissed whatever was causing the discomfort.
The very next day, I received the following email from Linda:
Hi Chris! just wanted to let you know as soon as i got home from church yesterday, my thumb started healing and the pain subsiding. It continued getting better all day and is still improving today. For such a little thing, it really bothered me because it kept getting worse and i didn’t want to go to the doctor! But as soon as it started getting less swollen i was so glad you prayed for me. thanks Chris
God really does care about the small stuff. What a great God!
Jesus speaking:
“Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!” (Luke 12:24)
