Eddie, a dear friend of mine, sent me the following text message (two days ago) about his wife…

“Chris, Deb wants you to lay hands on her with prayer.”

Not everyone is familiar with the concept of “laying hands”.  I mentioned this a couple of posts ago, but Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18…

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues…they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Tonight, I met Eddie and Deb in their home.  We ate a delicious dinner (the real reason why I have a healing ministry…FREE FOOD) and then discussed everything from love to politics.  After dinner, we went to the living room to pray.  Deb explained that her shoulder was hurting.

Me:

On a scale from 1 to 10, what is the pain level in your shoulder?

Deb:

A four.  I cannot put my purse on my shoulder because of the pain.

Deb also explained that her hip was hurting and that it was a solid 10 on that same scale…extreme pain.  The three of us began praying.  We rebuked all of the pain in Jesus’ name.  We then spoke the healing power of Jesus into the shoulder and the hip.

Me:

Did you feel anything as we were praying?

Deb:

Yes.  My shoulder dropped with relaxation.  Now the pain in my shoulder is completely gone!

(looking at her husband)…

I’m serious!!!

Deb then began stretching her arm and shoulder.  We were all excited…especially when she started doing a stretch behind her back that she was unable to do before!  She kept doing it over and over again.

Deb:

Also, I felt my leg relax during the prayer.  I was holding it tense and it relaxed.  I can’t describe it.

Me:

How is the pain in the hip?

Deb:

It’s still there.

We prayed a second time.

Deb:

I feel the pain leaving.

We monitored the pain in the hip go from a solid 10 to a 7…and then to a 6.

Deb:

I can move it!  When I got home this evening, I could hardly move it!

We ended the night tonight by audibly thanking God for such an incredible gift:  Complete healing in the shoulder and significant relief in the hip.  God is soooooo good!
