Last night I was invited to my friend’s house for another incredible dinner. Though she’s technically not famous in the culinary community, she is famous among friends and family (you can see why from the photo). Last night was another evening of having to force myself to enjoy another one of her delicacies.
Also joining us for dinner was a 20-year-old woman by the name of Hallie. Hallie has recently been practicing Biblical healing with extraordinary results. As we were discussing this, Fiona mentioned that she suffers from an overuse ankle injury. She was preparing for a marathon when the injury occurred.
We gathered in the living room and began to “lay-hands” on the ankle and pray.
Jesus speaking (Mark 16:17-18):
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
We declared the healing power of Jesus Christ over the ankle and rebuked the overuse damage.
Me:
How does your ankle feel?
Fiona:
It feels the same.
Me:
On a scale from 1 to 10, how bad is the pain?
Fiona:
A seven.
Reminding ourselves that Jesus prayed for the blind man twice (Mark 8:22-25), we declared her healing again.
Me:
How does it feel?
Fiona:
It’s a 2!
We were all very excited and encouraged by this and began thanking God. Then we prayed again.
Fiona:
I don’t feel any pain. I feel some tingling in my toes…but no pain!
Fiona began walking around the house to test it out. She could not get the foot to hurt. We celebrated this victory with chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. Hahahahaha.
UPDATE (4-14-12): Fiona just sent me a text message…
So today I was shuffling in Home Depot with Caleb (her son) and now playing volleyball!
UPDATE (4-17-12): Fiona sent me the following text message today…
Just ran 3 miles! No pain!
