Charla

It is with GREAT JOY that I can finally write a post about being used by God to heal cancer!  Some of my friends and I have discussed the testimonies we hear about those who have been healed of cancer or have been raised from the dead.  This post is a testimony of my personal involvement in using Jesus’ power to heal cancer.

The beginning of the story will sound familiar to those of you who have been reading powerdemonstration.com because I have already told the 1st part of the story.  Today, the results from the cancer tests are in…but here’s a review of what happened first…

Charla (a friend of mine I used to work with) called me last month wanting to talk about something important.  I met her and her two daughters for lunch on April 6th.  During lunch she gave me the sobering news that she was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer and cervical cancer.

Me:

You know that cancer is nothing for God to heal.

Charla:

Yes.  I know.

Me:

Good.  Let’s pray after we eat.

Charla and I have had long conversations in the past about the power of God.  She grew up watching miracles in a church that welcomed the power of God, so she is not a skeptic (which makes for a very promising healing opportunity).  After lunch, I sat in her car with her and her girls and we prayed.

Me:

In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke every cancerous cell.  I speak healing over every part of Charla’s body.  I restore Charla’s body to the original state that you (God) intended for Charla in the name of Jesus.

Me (to Charla):

Did you feel anything as I was praying?

Charla:

Yes.  I still feel it.

Me:

Great!  Then it’s happening.

Charla had an appointment already scheduled for testing; I told her that we would wait for a confirming report from the doctor that the cancer is gone once they process her lab results.

Five minutes later, while driving to work, Charla sent me this photograph from her phone…………………………….>>>>>>

The caption with the picture said, “Ok, I haven’t been able to do this without pain in almost 5 years….I need to call you; there’s more.”

I had no idea what Charla was talking about.

Charla (over the phone):

Oh my goodness!  My knee doesn’t hurt!  I was in a motorcycle accident five years ago.  I almost died…It was bad…I broke my left hand in 4 places and broke my kneecap in half.  I was in physical therapy for almost a year, learning how to use my left hand again, and for over 18 months for my knee.  Because the doctor didn’t find the broken kneecap right away (because of all the drugs I was on for the hand), the knee healed itself, but in a bad way.  So when they finally found the kneecap break, it was too late to do much about it.  I’ve been talking surgery (for my knee) for almost 2 years with the doctors.

Bending the knee is NOW pain-free

Because my knee locks-up about every other week, I usually fall down the stairs.  And driving sucks because I have to gas and break with my right leg…and that’s how I noticed the change.  I was driving and it took me three minutes to realize I wasn’t in pain.  I had to reach down and feel my knee to see if it was still there, because IT NEVER DOESN’T HURT.

Then I started getting this really warm sensation in my left hand.  I have had constant pain in my knee and in my hand and now the pain is completely gone in both!  I’m in tears.  I haven’t been able to open and close my hand in five years and now I’m able to make a fist and there is no pain!  I’m gripping my left hand as hard as I can and there is no pain!

In your prayer, you asked God to restore me to my original state and that is exactly what He did!

Me:

Your healing is so exciting that it’s just not funny.

Later this evening, I texted Charla.

Me:

How is your hand and knee?

Charla:

They both feel great!

Today, Charla got her lab test results back.  I asked her to write down the information and send it to me.  The following is taken from that message:

Charla:

I had gone to so many doctor appointments, different CT scans, ultrasounds, and different types of treatment, but I wasn’t getting any better.  Then I remembered all the talks I had with Chris over the last two years.  I knew that he believed in the power of our Lord; I also knew I believed.

I asked Chris to pray with me.  After a couple of weeks, I had an appointment with a doctor that ran some more tests and said that the cells on my cervix were minor–I just needed to do a small procedure.  I asked her, ”Why then did the doctor tell me it was cervical cancer?”  She said she didn’t know because what she saw was not cancer.

My endocrinologist was still waiting on test results for my thyroid (because cancer was diagnosed there also), but also wanted to run a few more tests.  On May 9th, they pulled some fluid and blood tissue samples from my thyroid.  Today, the results came in and I am CANCER-FREE.  The endocrinologist said she would see me IN A YEAR for a check-up.

HALLELUJAH!!!

“Jesus said to him, ’Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.’  Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God.  When all the people saw it, they also praised God.” (Luke 18:42-43)

Will you take a moment to honor God and praise Him for this amazing healing?  May God get every ounce of credit for defeating the enemy through this healing.

“Then He (Jesus)…gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.  He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick” (Luke 9:1-2).

“ANYONE who has faith in me (Jesus) will do what I have been doing.  He will do even greater things than these” (John 14:11-12).

Jesus commands us to heal…not to pray for healing…but to heal (Matthew 10:8, Luke 9:2, Luke 10:9).  My results do not change my obedience to this command or my expectation that God will bring His healing power when I pray.  May we all defeat cancer and all other illnesses through the power and name of Jesus Christ.
